Sweet Simplicity: Celebrate National Penuche Fudge Day with Good Thyme Gal

July 22: National Penuche Fudge Day !!! A Sweet Celebration of Simplicity
Mark your calendars and clear your counters, July 22nd is National Penuche Fudge Day! While not as widely known as other dessert holidays, this special day celebrates a truly nostalgic, melt-in-your-mouth treat: Penuche fudge. Made primarily with brown sugar, butter, and milk, penuche fudge is the golden cousin of traditional chocolate fudge, offering a rich, caramel-like flavor that’s both comforting and decadent.
At Good Thyme Gal, we believe in celebrating food that brings us back to our roots, warms the heart, and can be shared by all . Penuche fudge checks every box.
Why Penuche Fudge Deserves a National Day

Penuche fudge originated in New England and is sometimes called “brown sugar fudge” or “New England fudge.” It’s a recipe that harkens back to simpler times, when dessert didn’t require fancy ingredients or expensive gadgets, just a stovetop, a wooden spoon, and a bit of patience.
The beauty of National Penuche Fudge Day lies in its message: comfort food doesn't have to be complicated or costly. That’s exactly what we stand for at Good Thyme Gal; flavorful, approachable cooking that’s rooted in tradition and shared with love.
