A budget-friendly cherry dessert that’s bursting with joy and flavor

Hello sweet friends! 🌸
May 26th marks a juicy little holiday that’s cherry-picked for pure joy—National Cherry Dessert Day! Here at Good Thyme Gal, we believe in celebrating the little things that bring us big joy, and there’s nothing quite like the tart-sweet magic of a cherry dessert to do exactly that.
Whether you're craving comfort food, a seasonal treat, or just want a delicious reason to use that bag of frozen cherries in your freezer, this day is a perfect reminder to slow down, bake something simple, and savor life’s sweetest bites.
🍒 Why National Cherry Dessert Day Deserves a Spot on Your Calendar

Cherry desserts are timeless—think pies cooling on the windowsill, spoonfuls of warm cherry filling over ice cream, or a crumble-topped crisp shared with friends. But National Cherry Dessert Day is more than a sugary celebration; it’s a beautiful way to:
✨ Celebrate seasonal fruit
✨ Embrace home baking without fuss or fancy tools
✨ Use what you have (fresh, frozen, or canned cherries all work!)
✨ Honor nostalgia, comfort, and creativity in the kitchen
And here’s the best part: you don’t need to be a pastry chef or spend a fortune to make something wonderful.
