All Natural Bug Repellant Recipe

Spring is a wonderful season. Everything is waking up that includes the birds and the bees.

Speaking of bees, now is a great time to start shopping around for your bug repellants. I, myself, make my own every year. Here is my recipe.

Let me know what you think in the comments section.

Mix 1 part oil lavender essential oil with 10 parts witch hazel in the bottle. (For each drop of oil, use 10 drops of witch hazel.) Shake gently to mix. Spray to apply.

Benefits of Chemical-free Bug Spray

Chemical-Free: There are quite a few chemicals that can harm, and even kill, humans, as well as harm the environment and wildlife.

Improves Skin Health: Can help you maintain healthy skin.

Has a Pleasant Scent: The smells are wonderful and not too overpowering.

Works Better Than Chemicals: It has a lasting effect of 2-8 hours depending on the concentration.

Safe for Pets: That is a plus.

What repels bugs naturally? Lemongrass, citrus, peppermint, eucalyptus, tea tree, citronella, catnip, and lavender oils all possess properties that repel bugs. The oils can be used individually or combined to make a simple anti-bug potion. Mix about 1 cup of water with 25-30 total drops of oil into a small spray bottle.
